stan had to die early bc if the losers had to bully pennywise to death it would’ve taken him 2 minutes to absolutely obliterate him and the movie would’ve ended too quickly
yo not to be a complete slut or anything but richie’s happy lil “hi!” when he first hugs beverly outside the chinese restaurant and then how they pretend to kiss before bev shoves food in his face and then every single time richie makes sure that bev is okay by helping her across the rocks and holding her hand as she jumps into the water from the sewer pipe and bev’s lil “beep beep richie” and then her heartbroken “honey” during **that scene** and the way richie doesn’t believe it until he hears her voice and it just wrecks him and the way she clings to him in the lake as he sobs bc she and stan were probably the only ones who knew and now she’s the only member of the losers club who truly understands why richie is inconsolable rn like oh my god it all makes me so! fucking! soft!,,, richie and bev have the most underrated friendship and if yall don’t stan them you’re a coward and so is your mom
okay okay but that scene after neibolt, when Beverly realises the scars are gone, and mike says “nothing lasts forever”, and Richie looks up suddenly, that’s him remembering about the bridge. when he goes back again the letters are starting to fade too, compared to the other carvings we see. but he recarves them because he doesn’t want that scar to heal. it was so much more than reminiscence for him he was literally trying to grasp onto whatever he had left of eddie and im just so fucking sad!!!!
